Training Course on GIS-Based Data Visualization and Dashboard Development

Training Course on GIS-Based Data Visualization and Dashboard Development

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview
In the age of data-driven decision-making, the ability to visualize spatial data effectively is crucial. GIS-based dashboards provide real-time, interactive platforms that combine maps, charts, and analytics to communicate complex geographic insights to diverse audiences. Whether used in urban planning, disaster response, public health, or development programs, dashboards help organizations monitor progress, assess risks, and support timely interventions.
This course provides comprehensive training in the principles and practice of GIS-based data visualization and dashboard development. Participants will learn how to integrate geospatial and non-spatial datasets, create interactive maps, and design user-friendly dashboards using leading tools such as ArcGIS Dashboards, Power BI with Map Visuals, Google Data Studio, and open-source alternatives like QGIS with web plugins.
Through hands-on exercises and real-world use cases, participants will gain the technical and design skills required to build dynamic dashboards that tell compelling spatial stories, enhance stakeholder engagement, and support evidence-based policy and program implementation.
