Training Course on Value Chain Analysis and Agricultural Market Linkages
Duration: 5 Days
Location: Nairobi
Course Overview
In today’s competitive agricultural landscape, smallholder farmers and agribusinesses must go beyond production and engage effectively with markets. Value chain development offers a strategic pathway to enhance productivity, add value, reduce losses, and increase incomes through better coordination and market integration.
This course equips participants with practical skills to conduct value chain analysis, identify leverage points, and design market linkage interventions that improve competitiveness and inclusivity. It emphasizes market systems thinking, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation of win-win partnerships across actors — from input suppliers to final consumers.
Participants will gain hands-on experience using analytical tools, mapping techniques, and partnership models to strengthen agricultural value chains and foster sustainable market access for farmers and SMEs.
