Training Course on Agribusiness Management and Enterprise Development

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview
Agriculture is no longer just a subsistence activity—it is a business. As global food systems evolve, so does the need for farmers, agripreneurs, and development actors to adopt sound business principles in managing agricultural enterprises. This course is designed to build the skills and mindset needed to transform traditional farming into profitable and sustainable agribusiness ventures.
The course provides a robust foundation in agribusiness development, covering the entire value chain—from production planning and input sourcing to marketing, financial management, and investment readiness. Participants will learn to apply practical tools for enterprise planning, cost-benefit analysis, value addition, and market development. Special focus is given to entrepreneurship, innovation, and inclusive business models that empower youth, women, and smallholder producers.
Through interactive lectures, case studies, and business simulations, participants will gain hands-on experience in building viable agribusiness enterprises. The course also emphasizes strategic partnerships, access to finance, and risk management to support enterprise growth and competitiveness in dynamic markets.
