Training Course on M and E Data Collection Tools and Methodologies

Training Course on M and E Data Collection Tools and Methodologies

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview
Accurate, timely, and relevant data is the foundation of effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). This course provides a practical and in-depth exploration of data collection tools and methodologies essential for measuring project performance, tracking indicators, and informing decision-making.
Participants will learn how to select and apply appropriate data collection methods—both quantitative and qualitative—based on project objectives, indicators, and context. The course covers the entire data collection cycle, including tool design, pre-testing, fieldwork planning, digital data collection, and ethical considerations. It also introduces data quality assurance measures and participatory approaches that enhance stakeholder engagement in the data process.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the technical and practical skills to design robust data collection plans and implement them effectively to support high-quality M&E systems.
