Training Course on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in Agriculture and Food Security Projects

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in Agriculture and Food Security Projects Training Course

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview
Agriculture and food security projects are vital for reducing poverty, enhancing livelihoods, and achieving sustainable development—especially in rural and vulnerable communities. To ensure these projects deliver measurable results, effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems are essential for tracking inputs, outcomes, and impact.
This course is designed to equip participants with the practical knowledge and tools to design and implement M&E systems specifically tailored to agriculture and food security programs. It focuses on relevant indicators such as crop yields, input adoption rates, market access, household food consumption, nutrition outcomes, and climate resilience.
Participants will learn how to collect, analyze, and use data for planning, performance monitoring, decision-making, and reporting to donors, governments, and communities. The course emphasizes participatory approaches, mobile-based data collection, seasonal tracking, and the integration of M&E with agricultural extension and food security frameworks.
