emergency relief supply chain training

Emergency Relief Supply Chain Training 2026

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview

When a disaster strikes, the speed of your response depends on the quality of your preparation. Pre-positioning relief supplies before a crisis hits is one of the most effective ways to save lives and reduce suffering. This course teaches you how to build and run supply chains that make that possible.

You will cover the full emergency supply chain cycle, from needs forecasting and stock pre-positioning to activation, dispatch, last-mile delivery, and replenishment. The course also covers warehouse site selection, buffer stock planning, cold chain management, and how to use digital tools for inventory tracking and visibility.

Training combines global best practices with real-world case studies from cholera outbreaks, earthquakes, floods, and refugee crises. Simulation exercises give you hands-on experience planning and activating a pre-positioning system under realistic conditions.
