Training Course on Business Planning and Entrepreneurship for Agribusiness

Training Course on Business Planning and Entrepreneurship for Agribusiness

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview
Agribusiness today requires more than agricultural know-how—it demands entrepreneurial thinking, strategic planning, and sound business management. The ability to identify viable opportunities, assess risks, mobilize resources, and create value through structured business planning is what distinguishes successful agripreneurs in today’s competitive food systems.
This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to develop and manage sustainable agribusiness ventures. Participants will explore the key components of entrepreneurship in agriculture, including opportunity identification, business model development, market analysis, resource mobilization, and innovation. The course also guides participants step-by-step through the process of writing and pitching a bankable agribusiness plan.
With a strong focus on real-world application, the course blends technical instruction with interactive exercises, group work, and business simulations. It also emphasizes inclusive entrepreneurship—engaging women, youth, and smallholder farmers—and introduces participants to tools for financial forecasting, customer development, and accessing agribusiness support services.
