CBC training for teachers

CBC Training for Teachers 2026

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview

The shift to Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) has changed what teachers are expected to do in the classroom. It is no longer enough to cover content. Teachers must now help learners build and apply real skills in real contexts. This course gives you the practical tools to do that well.

You will gain a clear understanding of the Basic Education Curriculum Framework (BECF), how to interpret and apply the CBC curriculum, and how to design lessons that put learners at the center. The course covers competency-based lesson planning, learner-centered instruction, differentiated learning, and assessment strategies that track actual competency development rather than memorization.

The course also covers ICT integration in CBC classrooms and gives you practical strategies for managing the challenges of curriculum transition. You will work through real case studies, build lesson plans, and develop assessment rubrics you can use straight away.
