Training Course on Food Security Nutrition Planning and Programming

Training Course on Food Security, Nutrition Planning and Programming

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview
Food security and nutrition are fundamental pillars of sustainable development, public health, and human capital growth. However, achieving them requires integrated, multi-sectoral strategies that go beyond food availability — encompassing access, utilization, stability, and the underlying causes of malnutrition.
This intensive course provides participants with the tools, frameworks, and practical skills to design, implement, and evaluate food security and nutrition programs. Emphasizing a systems-thinking approach, it explores how agriculture, health, social protection, and policy intersect to support resilient food systems and improved nutritional outcomes.
Through a blend of theoretical grounding and hands-on case studies, participants will strengthen their capacity to develop evidence-based plans and programs that address food insecurity, promote dietary diversity, and support national and community-level nutrition strategies.
