Training Course on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for Governance, Human Rights & Social Accountability
Duration: 5 Days
Location: Nairobi
Course Overview
Governance, human rights, and social accountability programs aim to promote justice, citizen participation, transparency, and inclusive development. Measuring progress in these areas presents unique challenges due to the qualitative nature of outcomes and the influence of political, legal, and cultural contexts.
This course equips participants with the knowledge and tools to develop and manage M&E systems tailored to governance, human rights, and accountability programs. It emphasizes qualitative and participatory methods, rights-based indicators, theory of change, and adaptive learning approaches that respond to complexity and social change.
Participants will explore how to monitor legal reforms, civic space, policy influence, institutional accountability, public participation, and empowerment outcomes—while aligning with global standards such as the SDGs, Universal Human Rights Framework, and national governance indicators.
