Training Course on Project Planning and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) for Climate Change and Environmental Projects

Training Course on Project Planning and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) for Climate Change and Environmental Projects

Duration: 5 Days

Location: Nairobi

Course Overview
Effective project planning and monitoring are essential for delivering impactful climate change and environmental programs. Given the complexity of environmental challenges—ranging from climate adaptation and mitigation to biodiversity conservation and sustainable resource management—projects must be designed with clear results frameworks and robust evaluation mechanisms to ensure efficiency, accountability, and sustainability.
This course provides participants with practical skills and tools to design, plan, and implement climate and environmental projects, incorporating results-based management (RBM), logical frameworks, risk assessment, and M&E methodologies. It also covers climate finance reporting, environmental indicators, and adaptive project management, enabling practitioners to demonstrate measurable environmental and climate resilience outcomes.
Through interactive workshops, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to develop project proposals, design M&E systems, and conduct impact evaluations that meet donor and stakeholder requirements while advancing sustainable environmental management.
