Training Course on Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods in M&E
Duration: 5 Days
Location: Nairobi
Course Overview
High-quality Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) relies on rigorous research methods to generate credible evidence for decision-making, accountability, and learning. This course provides participants with in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills in designing and applying both quantitative and qualitative research methods within the context of M&E.
Participants will explore research designs, data collection strategies, sampling techniques, tool development, and data analysis for both types of methods. Emphasis is placed on the integration of mixed-methods approaches, ensuring that M&E practitioners can generate comprehensive insights on program performance, effectiveness, and impact.
Through practical exercises, case studies, and simulations, participants will learn how to select the most appropriate methodology based on evaluation questions, project goals, and stakeholder information needs.
