Course Overview
Education policies shape the direction, priorities, and performance of education systems. They influence access, quality, equity, financing, and governance. In an era of dynamic global change, data-driven and inclusive education policy analysis and development are vital for achieving national development goals and international commitments such as SDG 4 – Quality Education.
This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills required to analyze, design, and evaluate education policies that respond to emerging challenges and societal needs. It introduces key policy analysis tools, policy cycle stages, stakeholder engagement strategies, and methods for generating and using evidence to inform decision-making.
Participants will gain insights into how education policies are formed, implemented, and assessed at local, national, and global levels. Emphasis is placed on equity, accountability, financing, and system strengthening, with real-world case studies and interactive sessions to bridge theory and practice.
